Indenture Paper from 1875

Background

Several years ago I found a lamp at a local garage sale. A piece of parchment paper had been wrapped around the base of the lamp and decoupaged in place. Upon closer examination, I realized that the parchment paper was actually an authentic legal document from 1875, specifically an Indenture contract. I bought the lamp, took it home, and soaked it in water. I was successful in detaching the parchment paper from the cardboard lamp base. Unfortunately, some of the original ink was removed during both the initial decoupaging and my attempt to detach the document from the lamp. I also discovered that the right hand portion of the original document had been cut off in order to make it fit more snuggly around the cardboard lamp base.

What you are about to read is what remains of the readable text on the parchment paper. I have transcribed this text exactly as it is presented on the parchment paper. I used Lucida Calligraphy font to replicate the document's overall look. Missing, unreadable, or possible alternatives to words or letters are indicated as follows:
___Underline means a missing or unreadable word or part of a word.
||| Three vertical lines mean this is where the page was cut off on the far right edge.
text Blue text means this is my "best guess" for a letter or word, but it may be incorrect.
[text] Text inside brackets means possible spellings or alternative words for text.
